The Palms Town & Country Club is a unit of M/s Ambience Hospitality Management Pvt. Ltd. led by Mr. Vipin Luthra who is also its Chairman and Managing Director.

The Palms is the brain child of its Chairman Mr. Vipin Luthra, who entered the hospitality business in the late 90's. He was credited for co-promoting and creating a pioneering restaurant brand concept called Geoffrey's that completely changed the dining habits of Delhiites and youngsters. Till the advent of Geoffrey's, Delhi believed that quality dining existed only in its 5 star hotels. Geoffrey's was the first to break that myth and today Delhi-NCR has the most vibrant restaurant industry with thousands of top quality restaurants.

In the hospitality business more by chance than by design, his initial experience was in the Electronics Industry and he came into the hospitality business with no formal hospitality training or background. His approach to business, be in the Hospitality business or the Real Estate business that he is involved in is to work backwards from the customer’s aspirations and to combine products and services to create a member or customer experience. He also understands & practices the virtues of team-building. While the restaurant business was sold in the year 2010 his hospitality focus is now clubs and resorts.

Mr. Raju ShahaniProduct of Oberoi School of Hotel Management, India and specialized in Advanced Food & Beverage Management from the Lycee Technique Hotelier Paris, France. He spent 25 years with Oberoi Group in several capacities in India, Middle East, East Africa and Europe including Director Sales & Marketing, Director - Project Development. He was also on the Board as well as Chief Executive Officer of CCA Leisure Services Limited which is a Joint Venture Company for Club Business between Oberoi Hotels and CCA Hongkong. He also spent 5 years with RCI, his last job being President Asia, Middle East and China. He then spent 7 years with Langham hotels as Executive Consultant – Development and Operations for India and Sri Lanka.

Mr. Shahani is also the Chairperson of an NGO called Christel House (www.christelhouse.org) which educates under privileged children. He is on the board of Ambience Hospitality Management Pvt Ltd., our club company and is involved in policy making, strategy, growth & development.

Mr. Homi WadiaEducated in the Hotel field from prestigious Sazburge Hotelfaschule in Bad Hofgastein, Austria as in 1961. He has worked in various capacities in Hotel Operations in Austria, France, Switzerland, Italy, U.K., Egypt and his home country India. He has spent several long spells between 1964 and 1992 with the East India Hotels Ltd. (Oberoi Group of Hotels) in India, Egypt and Iraq. He held several key positions with the Oberoi Group including five years as General Manager of the historic Mena House Oberoi Hotel, Regional Vice President & Representative in Egypt and Vice President Food and Beverage Operations worldwide. Also spent six years as Senior Vice President with Sarovar Park Plaza Group of Hotels and was closely involved in their Development and Operations in Western India.

With his vast knowledge of kitchens, plant , equipment, systems and standard operating procedures, he has played a key role in back of the house and in pursuing best practices particularly in areas of hygiene, food safety, energy overall cost control in our restaurant/club business. He has been involved with our group since 2003. He has also been a director on board for the past 10 years.

Mr. Umang LuthraAlumni of Pusa Hotel management institute, he has over 21 years of experience in the hospitality business. Mr Luthra has worked with the Carlson Rezidor Hotel group, The American Embassy and the Taj Group of Hotels. His specialization is Food and Beverage, production and service in five star hotels, luxury clubs and stand alone fine dine restaurants. He was involved in the conceptualization and opening of the reputed restaurant chain "Geoffrey's", a restaurant concept that was co-promoted by our group.
